Option 1: In-person Therapy in Plano

My office in Plano, Texas is just south of the Shops at Legacy. Complementary coffee, chai tea, and hot chocolate in the downstairs lounge.

Office Location:
6860 Dallas Parkway #257
Plano, TX 75024

Option 2: Online Therapy throughout Texas

We’ve all learned in the last few years that just about anything can be done online, even therapy!

If my Plano location is too far away, or you’d just prefer to do therapy from the comfort of your home, I offer online therapy via a HIPAA-compliant video platform. It is easy to use, and you can access your sessions and secure messaging on your computer, tablet or phone. In-person clients can choose to do a video session at any time, for any reason. Just let me know as soon as you can, and I’ll convert your session to video for your convenience.

Frequently
Asked
Questions

  • It's common to be unsure about whether or not you ‘need’ therapy. But if you're struggling with something that's affecting your life in any way, therapy can be a helpful tool. Therapy is a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain new insights, and learn new skills. You don't need to have a specific diagnosis or problem to access therapy - everyone can benefit from taking care of their mental health just like we take care of our physical heal.h If you are unsure, please reach out to schedule a free consultation.

  • The best way to find out if I am the right therapist is right for you is to schedule a consultation. In this conversation you can share some more details about what’s bringing you to therapy, ask any questions you may have, and see if it feels like a good fit.

  • In the first session of therapy, we will begin by getting to know each other. I'll ask you some questions about yourself, your history, and what brings you to therapy. This will help me understand your unique situation and how I can best support you. We'll also talk about your goals and what you hope to achieve through therapy. Depending on your needs, we may discuss exercises or activities to help you reduce stress or get in touch with your emotions to begin the healing process. You'll also have the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have about therapy and my approach. By the end of the session, we'll have a better understanding of each other so that we can create a plan for moving forward.

  • It's common to feel unsure of exactly what you need to work on in therapy. Sometimes, it can be challenging to identify the root of our problems, and that's where therapy can be especially helpful. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we can work together to help you clarify your goals and what you would like to experience more of in life, and I’ll check in as we go to make sure we are on the right track.

  • Traditionally, therapy takes place once per week. Some clients prefer a different frequency, such as every other week or even twice a week, which may be appropriate depending on your situation and needs. I am happy to discuss this further in our consultation call or at the end of your initial session.

  • My rate for therapy is $150 for a 50-minute session and $300 for an optional 100-minute somatic therapy session.

  • As of 2024, I will no longer be accepting insurance. This decision allows me to focus more on your deepest needs without the constraints and limitations often imposed by insurance companies. It also enables me to offer a broader range of services that might not be covered under traditional insurance plans. I understand that this approach may not be suitable for everyone, but for those who choose to work with me, it means receiving care that is centered entirely around your needs and goals, free from external influences. Many clients choose to have sessions twice per month instead of weekly to help offset the cost of paying privately. If you have further questions about this, please feel free to contact me.

  • When you schedule your first appointment, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate for your therapy costs. If you would like this information before booking, please let me know. For more information about the Good Faith Estimate, please click here.
